Sick song.

Really dug the chord progression, and very nice production all around. My favorite part would have to be at 3:05 when the synths reenter and it starts banging. Again, really nice tune, surprised it has so little listens. Keep up the good work bro!

Thanks :) means a lot man. Check back soon for more juicy toons

Nice man, you're only getting better.

This is probably my favorite song I've heard by you. I really dig that upbeat feel you have going on, and the kick sounds very solid. Interesting chord progression, and that buildup that started around 1:07 was nicely done. Keep making quality music man!

Thanks Hectic :P I was thinking in your comment in Fire and I tried to do all you say. I think I'm better producing music since you did the comment xD. Your songs are also cool! Thanks for your vote and for your download. :D

Damn.

Just wow man. This tune kicks ass. Very tasteful automation of filters, really pretty string melody, KILLER lead synth, nice use of gross beat (gotta love that shit) and really cool chord progression. Honestly no musical complaints, my only gripe is that the kick sample is a bit too "bassy" if that makes any sense. Just a bit of EQing or compression on the kick channel would make it 200 times better. Still, that one complaint doesn't detract from how sick this is. It's obvious that you put a lot of work into this, so the least I can do is D/L, vote 5, and leave this review. Keep it up bro!

Thanks! Glad you like it! I did try to EQ it a little in Parametric EQ 2, which did make it a little better, but I think i just need to shop around for some sounds. I do not like the default stuff they give you, but there is some good stuff.

Not bad.

The kick is definitely overpowering in the beginning. It sounds cool, but tone down the lowest of the low bass frequencies to get the unnecessary noise out of there. Also, try some compression on the kick if you haven't already to give it a punchier sound. Now, as for the melody, it's OK, but when you keep moving it up in intervals it sounds a bit strange. The background pads are actually really nice, probably keep those the same. Something you should work on is staying within the same key so your parts don't clash. Also, some rhythmic variation in the lead synth goes a long way, just mix it up a little bit with some interesting fills to keep the listener...well... listening. This has serious potential, it just needs some polishing, overall great start bro! Looking forward to the finished version.

Incredible

Some of the best produced stuff I've ever heard on NG, period. This deserves more attention, fucking KILLER track. Beat was perfect, everything just sounded solid, and your use of filters was incredibly well done. The engineering was professional, the sort of thing I'd buy and listen to on my iPod. My only complaint would be lack of variety, but since this isn't even done yet, that's not a problem. Seriously, this is insane, keep making music.

Thanks for the great & positive review! was really fun to read :)
Work continues on this track and there is a new version up called "bombobobombom"! Please check it out, I've made some big changes to the track, so please say what you think of the new version! :)

Sick Beat.

As common as that chord progression is, I really dug the beat you had over it. Also, it was very well produced/mixed in general. Really liked how it had a downtempo, grooving feel while remaining upbeat. Also, LOVED the piano outro, keep up the rock solid work!

Thanks for the comment!! yea your right c maj is common lmao!!

Pretty sick.

Nice work on the "wub" automation, or whatever you call it. Beat is solid, but it sounds like you could use some new drum samples. Either search Freesound or buy a good pack, because those sounds are grating in an otherwise sick dubstep track. Also, the wubbing is a bit too loud in contrast with the drums, a little mixing goes a LONG way. Keep it up!

highdrake responds:

Thanks. I think I missed one vital thing I do to my track, thus the mixing quality. If I
do a repost it'll sound a lot better.

Anyways, thanks for the review!

Cool track.

Liked the synth lines quite a bit, and the beat was solid. My only complaints would be the "meh" sounding drum samples and the 1 dimensional nature of the melody. Maybe add some more intricate chords in later to give it more depth, but overall you've got a nice sense of pacing. Keep it up bro!

Dj-Gonzo responds:

Thanks man! the The 'meh' is a 3xosc. Thanks fot the support in Earth I'll do it better! The chords in Earth will change a lot you'll see!

Incredible, as per usual.

Love the contrast between the more tame melodic sections and the hard banging DnB parts. Very well produced, not like that's surprising to anyone. Hard to believe this isn't the final version, as it sounds incredible. Overall, brilliantly done, keep it up!

NIce one!

It could use a bit more mastering/mixing in parts, but overall I dug the "classic" feel of it. Tastefully done. I just remembered how psyched I am for Battlefield 3, thanks for that!

Composer, love to write music, love to play it, love to listen to it. Also video games are pretty cool.
